- Closed Cell Spray Foam Insulation:
- R-value: 14 (2″ Closed Cell)
- R-value: 7 (1″ Closed Cell)
- This insulation is applied directly onto the metal panels as a spray that expands to seal gaps and voids, providing exceptional thermal resistance and air infiltration prevention. Available in both 1” and 2” thicknesses.
- 2″ Fiberglass Insulation:
- R-value: 6
- Fiberglass blanket insulation is placed between the metal panels. It is a common choice for effective thermal insulation, offering a balance of performance and cost.
- Double Bubble Moisture Barrier (No R-value):
- This insulation consists of polyethylene air bubbles sandwiched between layers of metalized film. It acts primarily as a moisture barrier, preventing water penetration and helping to stabilize interior temperatures.
- Therma-Guard Moisture Barrier (No R-value):
- Similar in function to a traditional insulation board, this option is made from materials such as fiberglass or foam plastics like polystyrene. Installed between the metal panels, it offers excellent thermal insulation without an R-value rating.
- House Wrap Moisture Barrier (No R-value):
- Often used as a weather-resistant barrier, this wrap is installed over the metal panels. It is designed to prevent air infiltration and assist in temperature regulation, contributing to a more controlled environment inside the structure.
